Just like any events, the studio was a held virtually last April 21–24, 2021. Mentorship and workshop sessions happened. Here’s a takeaway.

Day 1 revolved around digital illustration. Nina Martinez differenciated being a freelancer and employee straight to the point. Both has pros and cons, we just need to choose the path that is for us. Tippy Go made us realize that art is more than just for visual and the art industry constantly changes.

Day 2 focused on advertising and film. Jake Yrastorza’s advice is to all aspiring in the industry is to be brave out there. What we can learn from Pat Dy’s story is that it’s okay to pursue your passion and be different. Jake and Pat are behind the of the some famous advertisements that you surely know.

Day 3 was about Graphic Design and integrating it. Dan Matutina emphasized that artists should also take good care of themselves. Dan said that design allows us to think ahead and collaboration is a crucial part of it. Mykie Conception mentioned that drawing from real life is a great way to exercise your eyes.

What we can conclude from the event is that we should collaborate. The best collaboration is happens with a great comuncation. We shouldn’t stop innovating and just continue to explore till we reach the mecca of ourselves. Congrats to AMA for this event and the industry is looking forward to more audience centric events like this!
